Our Mission - Bringing the Light
Few Filmmakers have the depth of experience in filmmaking combined with the breadth of compassion for the suffering and expertise in the mission field that Ro
bert Marcarelli does. Made a Knight Legate for International Humanitarian Affairs, he is able journey to overseas locations that other filmmakers can’t or won’t go.
Traveling under the radar, without a large entourage, he is able to film heart-wrenching scenes and gripping interviews. Whether he must travel for days alone by single engine plane to the Darfur region of the Sudan or on the back of an elephant to the Thai-Burma border, he will do it. If it’s facing Muslim terrorists in the deserts of Iraq or in the jungles of the Philippines, he has faced those risks as well.
As the Writer/Editor Joyce Marcarelli believes that her responsibility is to write the film and edit the footage so that the viewer is attracted by what they see, moved by the images and motivated to take action.
Knight Quest Media are storytellers and nothing will stop them from bringing back the footage and then telling the story. The Light of Truth must be shone in the darkness and people must be told -- Then political will can be changed -- capital can be raised -- and the suffering can be stopped. But first the story must be told--
Our Rationale - Who Else Will Bring the Light
With our skills as filmmakers and communicators; and our resources as worldwide humanitarians it has seemed only appropriate that Knight Quest Media aid the voiceless in being heard and the invisible in being seen.
Many relief agencies spend their time producing “white papers”, detailing the plight of victims around the world. While their research might be useful for eventual planning purposes, Knight Quest Media believes that unless persecuted and impoverished people are allowed to tell their stories, so that concerned individuals can see and hear them, there will limited funding for relief and changes in policy will be slow to be implemented. We live in a visual world. Without forceful visual images to convince a jaded public, there is little hope of making a difference.
They are also using their skills to combine quality visual media with the internet to facilitate “viral marketing” of non-profit organizations for a more fruitful methodology, creating short videos for use wherever needed--special events, on-line websites, etc.
Suffering people must tell their story -- Good people must share their light --
